What We Believe

We believe you have a greater need for purpose and three years ago we began helping people like you uncover this purpose through a journey toward whole health. Our business story began with a crossroads in our own family’s health…

Ryan suffering from accumulating health issues and complications from a neck injury was staring down disability leave and literally struggling to survive.

In an attempt to recapture his health, Ryan spent thousands of dollars seeing highly specialized surgeons. He endured epidural after epidural (roughly 39 over the last four years), ablation after ablation (roughly 12 over the last 4 years) and hours of physical therapy (PT).

By all costs, he wanted to avoid “disability leave,” but the time commitment and money to prevent it was adding up. He wasn’t able to enjoy many of the activities that use to keep him active such as playing sports with the kids, cycling, running, and lifting weights. He also had to deal with significant weight gain for the first time in his life.

Meanwhile, Vanessa found herself drenched in sweat giving her all on the treadmill. After birthing three kids, she was running several miles each day in an attempt to lose weight. It was strenuous and hard to maintain while being a busy wife and mother of three! Simply not effective….

As Vanessa approached 40 she thought her healthiest days had come and passed especially since experiencing two miscarriages and having three children. Her emotional health began to weigh down on her and she knew there just had to be a smarter solution for women like her in this stage of life who want to feel whole again!

Together Ryan and Vanessa while at similar yet vastly different health crossroads decided to answer a calling from God years in the making.

Ryan and Vanessa began researching new technology, anti-inflammatory diet effects, and behavioral health coaching strategies that would all eventually become the foundation of Grace In Motion Client Successes.

Today Grace In Motion is a health and wellness company that serves others in ways God intended we become and that’s the best version of ourselves we each deserve. It’s a company grounded in the idea that once we truly understand His love we begin to transform physically and mentally into His masterpiece

HEALTH COACH | B.S. ORGANIZATIONAL LEADERSHIP

Emily graduated from PHHS and then went on to get her B.S. in Organizational Leadership and Supervision from Purdue University. She is married with 3 sons and loves anything outdoors - watching her kids play sports, hiking, kayaking, camping. Emily also has a passion for nutrition - “2 years ago I did a 6 month fast from added sugar and processed food and it was eye opening! My cholesterol dropped by 50 points and I lost 25 pounds. I have continued with a low sugar added/minimally processed diet since then and the impact on my health and energy has been amazing! I encourage anyone to join GIM that's looking for nutritional support combined with a multitude of workout equipment and a lot of LOVE!”

Shelly comes to GIM with years of customer service experience. Her bright smile welcomes our evening clients at the Pendleton Studio!

Shelly and her husband, Todd, have been on a personal health journey that led them to GIM as clients first. Shelly loved it so much, she joined our team in 2022!

Shelly and Todd have two grown children, Eric and Emily. They enjoy all things outdoors and especially hiking and fishing. They frequently travel and enjoy spending time with their family.

Lillie joins our GIM family after many years as a labor and delivery nurse. Lillie has a vast knowledge of natural and holistic living fueled by a passion for seeing people well and thriving. She is compassionate and caring, always ready for a conversation, and willing to help!

Lillie and her husband own and operate a family farm in Alexandria. Lillie homeschools their three children, Camden, Jaidyn, and Kasen. Their active family is committed to living a simple and faithful life!

Mary has been a client with GIM for about a year and the benefits she has experienced mentally have kept her motivated and coming back. She fell in love with the program along with the personal support which led her to decide that she wants to be part of other people’s journeys as well!

Bev joined the Meals In Motion team in 2023 becoming part of the crew that produces our exceptionally delicious meals!

Bev started as a GIM client and fell in love with the awesome environment at our Pendleton Studio. She jumped at the chance to join our staff and has loved learning and growing in her role.

Bev has two adult sons and four grandsons. She enjoys gardening and attending her grandchildren’s events.

Lindsay obtained her undergrad in psychology while being a college athlete and went on to get her Master’s Degree in counseling. Lindsay understands the importance of mental health in overall wellness and is looking forward to helping you identify your goals along with breaking down any barriers that may be keeping you from reaching them.

Dawn has experienced first hand the effects chronic illness can have on the overall health of a person. She has found the technology GIM offers along with maintaining a healthy eating plan, has helped her gain more control over her energy and wellness. She is passionate about reminding people of how valuable they are and is looking forward to pouring into the lives of future clients.

Connie is a two-time cancer survivor who is still getting treatment to this day. Her battles with cancer have made her strong and increased her desire to make her health a priority. Her past experience with personal training had prepared her to work with GIM clients to meet their goals. Connie has the ability to befriend everyone she meets and can’t wait to form more relationships with future clients.

Kayla Voltz has been an ACE certified group fitness instructor since 2021. She has spent the greater part of her life passionately pursuing fitness. As a child saved by grace, by the glory of Jesus Christ, her ultimate desire is to help others find more to themselves than the outward appearance. By using her talent of helping people and her passion of fitness, she drives for just that. She also keeps busy with homeschooling her two girls, raising their homestead that includes 40+ chickens, and working as a health coach at GIM Unified and substituting for Group-X Fitness Classes.

Wendy Buck leads Grace In Motion’s Group-X program with her many years of group fitness experience. Wendy has committed her life to leading others in best health practices as both a registered nurse and fitness instructor. Group exercise allows Wendy to love, encourage, and motivate clients all while finding and developing their strengths. She translates this passion for coaching into her classes, Hip-Hop Dance, HIIT, Tabata, Bootcamp, and Cardio Kick-Boxing.

Wendy shares three children and two step-children with her husband, Steve. Wendy and Steve stay busy with their children’s athletic endeavors, home-schooling, and spending time with family and friends. Wendy passionately chases community with her infectious spirit and desire to connect others to Christ.

Pearl Riggs | Golden Years Lead Instructor & Group-X Instructor

NASM CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER & GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR | BS PHYSICAL EDUCATION & DANCE MINOR

Pearl Riggs shares her over 40 years of experience in the fitness industry with clients at Grace In Motion in multiple capacities. Pearl leads our Golden Years Program. A program developed to enhance the potential of aging. Proof that the best is yet to come, Pearl lends the many positive lessons she has learned through her own aging process to the Grace In Motion clients. Pearl is passionate about connecting individuals to their best lives, no matter their age, and leading them to the freedom a healthy lifestyle offers.

Pearl and her husband, Bill, have been married for 45 years and share 3 children and 6 grandchildren. She enjoys both flower and vegetable gardening, taking long walks and bike rides through her neighborhood, and diving deep into scripture. Pearl is a treasure trove of knowledge and goodness!

Kim Conway | Group-X Instructor

Kim joins GIM Group-X with many years of fitness experience. Kim loves the impact a healthy community can have on the individual and aims to create spaces of connection in her classes.

Kim’s classes are geared toward women focusing on improving strength to support bones/ joints and flexibility to prevent injury in the daily activities of women, specifically moms! She loves empowering women to feel strong and confident!

Kim is a busy mom of two girls and a preschool teacher as well.

Kim will be adding a RESTORE YOUR CORE class to our Group-X Program. This class is lower impact, mat-based, and focuses on improving your core, flexibility, and stability. Such a great option for the mommas out there who want to heal diastis recti and weak core muscles which are leading to back and hip pain!

AFAA CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER & GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR

Kathy Cooper leads the Group-X Cardio Strength & Body Sculpt Classes. Kathy’s 35 years of group exercise experience are evident in the expert level workout she creates in her classes. Kathy has a deep knowledge of growing full body strength, especially for women over 30. She is a wonderful source of information and ideas for clients looking to achieve specific results.

Kathy has been a Kindergarten through 3rd Grade Reading Teacher for more than 35 years. She and her husband are blessed with 16 nieces and nephews, 21 great nieces and nephews, and 7 great-great nieces and nephews. She enjoys a special relationship with each of them! Kathy loves to read, spending time with her family, and spoiling her pets!

Kathy brings a near lifetime of experience to her group fitness classes!

Katy Callahan leads the Group-X Functional Strength Training and Yoga Classes. Katy’s years of experience have allowed her to perfect a balance of challenging workouts with ample fun in each of her classes. Katy’s love of people is evident in her dedication to helping clients reach their fitness goals!

A self-professed “Daddy’s Girl,” Katy and her father enjoy biking and running together, completing several races each year. Katy is engaged to her long-time partner, Kenny. They live in Yorktown with their 3 favorite kitties. Possibly Katy’s favorite role is that of aunt to her three nieces!

Katy is several years into her own wellness journey and is always willing to pass along the lessons she has learned on her way to finding her best health!

Lori joins GIM with years of experience as a Yoga Instructor. She specializes in Gentle Yoga and Yoga Nidra. Lori believes Yoga is for everyone and every body! She creates a welcoming environment for the beginner to the advanced.

Lori lives in Greenfield with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys spending time with family, long walks in nature, and reading.

Gentle Yoga + Yoga Nidra Class Description:

Gently stretch your body and calm your mind. In this class we will first more through a series of restorative stretching through various yoga postures and intentional breathing. Then, we will relax through a process known as Yoga Nidra, a guided meditation practice intended to produce a state of rest, peace, and well-being.

Lori Richer | Group-X Instructor

Christina joins Group-X with years of experience leading cycling, HIIT, and strength training group exercise classes. Her energetic and upbeat personality makes classes fun and engaging!

Christina is also active in the Pendleton community, leading the PHMS Cross Country and Track teams.

Christina and her husband, Kyle, share 3 boys, Ethan, Kash, and Knox. They greatly enjoy participating in and cheering on their sons in their various sports.
